PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel women's soccer team has announced its schedule for the 2025 season. Head Coach Ray Goon will enter his 29th season at the helm of the program, leading the Dragons through a 18-match campaign with nine contests at Vidas Field.
The Dragons are set to compete in the north division of the CAA in 2025, competing against Hofstra, Monmouth, Northeastern, Stony Brook and Towson. During the regular season, teams will play nine conference matches, which include one match against each team in their division and four matches against teams from the other division. All matches will count in the standings.
The Dragons begin the 2025 campaign with a pair of scrimmages, starting at home against UMBC (Aug. 6) before traveling to Rider (Aug. 10).
DU opens the regular season with three consecutive home games at Vidas Fields. Saint Peter's will make the trip to Philadelphia (Aug. 14) for the third-ever match-up in program history and the first since 1998. Drexel faces George Washington (Aug. 17) for the second straight year, followed by a city clash with Saint Joseph's (Aug. 21) to close out the homestand.
Drexel then tackles a two-game road trip, starting in Easton, Pa., against Lafayette (Aug. 24) ahead of a battle on Rhodes Field against Penn (Aug. 28). Seton Hall visits the City of Brotherly Love (Aug. 31) before another pair of road contests against Lehigh (Sept. 4) and long-time rival Delaware (Sept. 7).
Non-conference action rounds out as La Salle comes to University City (Sept. 11), marking the first of three straight games for the Dragons at Vidas Field. DU hosts William & Mary (Sept. 18) and Hampton (Sept. 21) for the first of nine CAA matches in 2025. DU closes out the month of September on the road, traveling to Boston to face Northeastern (Sept. 28).
The Dragons host Monmouth (Oct. 2) ahead of making four straight appearances away from home against Stony Brook (Oct. 5), Hofstra (Oct. 12), Elon (Oct. 16), and Campbell (Oct. 19). Drexel squares off against Towson in Philadelphia (Oct. 26) to close the regular season.
The CAA Tournament will begin on October 30, with the semifinals scheduled for November 2 and the championship game set for November 8. The highest remaining seed will host each round.
