EASTON, Pa. — The Drexel women's soccer team held Lafayette to a scoreless draw in Easton, Pa., Sunday afternoon. Sammy Widnick earned her second career shutout, collecting four saves as the Dragons have held their opponents scoreless in back-to-back contests.

Both teams had opportunities to score but were unable to find the back of the net. Drexel outshot the Leopards, 11-7, with DU recording six shots on goal compared to Lafayette's four. Elise Duffy accounted for three of the Dragons' attempts.

With just over a minute remaining on the clock, Annie Clapp sent a cross to Liv Brocious in front of the box. The junior headed the ball on target before Lafayette's Catherine Apker intervened at the last moment to make the save. The Leopard countered with a late shot of their own in the closing seconds but were unsuccessful. Additionally, five Dragons played the full 90 minutes of the match.

The Dragons return to the City of Brotherly Love on Thursday as they visit Penn at Rhodes Field. Action is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
