PHILADELPHIA — The Drexel women's soccer team fell to Seton Hall Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia, 2-0. The Dragons' unbeaten streak ends at five, as DU moves to 1-1-4 on the season.
The Pirates struck first in the 17th minute. Nina Davis raced down the right wing and sent a cross into the box. Gianna Angelillo fired through the top right corner of the net for the strike to give the Pirates the lead.
Seton Hall capitalized on a Drexel turnover to double the score in the 57th minute. After a Drexel clear attempt was intercepted, Abby Udowenko dished it to Davis at the 18-yard mark who put it away with the right boot.
Elise Duffy collected three shots on goal for Drexel while Annie Clapp and Liv Brocious each added two. Reese Power, Sammy Widnick, Adriana Salzano and Julia Hahn played the full 90 for DU.
The Dragons begin a two-game road trip as they visit Lehigh on September 4. Action is set for 6 p.m.
