
Drexel Falls to La Salle, 3-0

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Drexel women's soccer team fell to Philadelphia foe La Salle Thursday night in Philadelphia, 3-0. The Explorers scored all three goals in the second half against the Dragons. DU now moves to 1-2-6 on the season.
La Salle opened the second half strong, scoring twice in just over three minutes. Elizabeth Estrada sent a cross to Anna Corsanico near the goal line. Sophia Lebsack was able to get a boot on the ball, deflecting off a Dragon defender before finding the back of the net. Less than two minutes later, Ella Cadigan added another, striking from inside 18 meters and into the top-right corner.
In the 61st minute, La Salle extended its lead to 3-0 when Anna Corsanico set up Jillian Drumm, who finished into the top-left pocket.
Jess Castorina recorded the lone shot on goal for Drexel. Cam Schuler also had two shots.
Drexel returns to Vidas Field to begin CAA play against William & Mary on Thursday, September 18. Action is set for 6 p.m.
