Drexel, William & Mary Play to Scoreless Draw in CAA Opener

PHILADELPHIA — The Drexel women's soccer team opened CAA competition against William & Mary Thursday night in Philadelphia, playing to a scoreless draw. The Dragons are now 1-2-7 on the season and are tied with Cal Poly for the most draws in the nation. This is the fourth 0-0 tie for DU this season.
The Dragons out shot the tribe 13-8, limiting William & Mary to just one strike in the first half. Liv Brocious had five shots, leading DU with two on goal. Sammy Widnick recorded two saves between the posts. Seven Dragons played the full 90 while Nia Chinapoo made her first start as a Dragon.
Drexel returns to Vidas Field on Sunday to face Hampton as the Dragons celebrate Senior Day. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
