Dragons Finish Seventh in J.T. Poston Invitational

WAYNESVILLE, N.C. – The Drexel golf team finished the three-day J.T. Poston Invitational shooting two-over-par 842 to place seventh in the 15-team field. Caleb Taylor led the Dragons, tied for 11th, shooting 2-under-par 208.
Taylor finished the final day of the invitational, shooting 3-over-par 73, while Jacob Haberstumpf shot 1-under-par to tie for 14th. Thomas Young finished the invitational tied for 28th shooting 2-over-par 212.
Southern Mississippi shot 13-under-par 827 to win the event. Kennesaw State finished in second by one stroke, followed by Western Carolina and James Madison.
Drexel returns to Philadelphia to play in the Temple Fall Invitational on September 22.
