Drexel Stays Unbeaten in the CAA; Plays Northeastern to Scoreless Draw

BOSTON, MASS. — The Drexel women's soccer team played Northeastern to a scoreless draw Sunday afternoon in Boston. This marked the eighth draw of the season, the most in the nation, as DU moves to 2-2-8 overall. The Dragons remain unbeaten on the road (0-0-5) and in CAA play (1-0-2), sitting tied with Towson for second place in the CAA North Division with five points .
Sammy Widnick made her 11th start for the Dragons, recording three saves en route to her sixth clean sheet of the season. Drexel is now tied with Elon for the most shutouts in the CAA with seven overall.
Drexel recorded nine shots with four on goal while five Dragons logged the full 90 minutes. The scoreless draw is Drexel's fifth this season, one shy of the all-time NCAA DI record.
The Dragons return home to Philadelphia to face Monmouth on Thursday. Action is set for 6 p.m.
