Corbett and Smith Earn CAA Weekly Awards

RICHMOND, Va. – Following standout performances in Saturday's CAA-opening victories over Towson, Drexel swimmers Sebastian Smith and Brittany Corbett were named CAA Men's and Women's Swimmer of the Week, respectively.
CAA MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Sebastian Smith
Smith earned his second consecutive CAA weekly honor after posting three individual victories and contributing to a relay win in Drexel's 176.5–123.5 victory over Towson. The senior finished first in the 50 free (20.18), 100 free (43.83), and 100 fly (47.45), with all three times ranking among the top six in the CAA this season. Smith was also part of Drexel's first-place 200 medley relay.
CAA WOMEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Brittany Corbett
Corbett recorded three individual wins to help Drexel edge Towson, 153–147, in its CAA opener. The sophomore set a school record in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 10:01.13, which ranks as the second-fastest time in the CAA this season. She also captured victories in the 200 butterfly (2:05.55) and 500 freestyle (4:53.05).
