Men's Basketball to Host Campbell on Senior Day

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's basketball team is set to host the Campbell Camels on Thursday. It will be Senior Day at the DAC, with Senior Day ceremonies beginning at 6:40 p.m. with the game to set to tip-off at 7:05 p.m. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Worker's Local 98 is once again the presenting sponsor of Drexel Men's Basketball.
Prior to the game Drexel will honor its seniors who are graduating this spring. Eli Beard, Victor Panov, Shane Blakeney and Garfield Turner.
LAST TIME OUT
The Dragons defeated the Towson Tigers, 68-62, Sunday at the Daskalakis Athletic Center. Shane Blakeney led the team with 24 points, tying his career high. Blakeney shot 10-15 from the field while rebounding the ball six times and blocking a shot. Garfield Turner scored a career-high 16 points while rebounding the ball 13 times, also a career-high. Victor Panov grabbed seven rebounds along with eight points, a block and an assist. Defensively, Drexel held Towson to 36% shooting and only allowed the Tigers to rebound the ball nine times off the offensive glass.
ABOUT CAMPBELL
The Camels are 13-15 (7-8 in conference play) after falling to UNCW on Saturday, 73-68. John Andrzejek coaches the Camels in his first season at Buies Creek. Graduate student DJ Smith leads the team with 19.8 points per game.
THE SERIES
The Dragons are 1-2 against the Camels. Campbell won their matchup earlier this season.

The Dragons conclude the regular season on Tuesday, March 3, when they travel to Hempstead, N.Y. to face the Hofstra Pride.
