Dragons Open Final Weekend Homestand Against Northeastern on Friday

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel women's basketball team is set to open its final weekend of home games in the 2025-26 campaign. On Friday night, Drexel welcomes the Northeastern Huskies to the DAC for game two of the two-game series. Tip against the Huskies is set for 6 p.m. on NBC Sports Philadelphia and FloCollege.
Last Time Out
A layup by Deja Evans with seven seconds remaining secured a 63-61 victory for Drexel against William & Mary on Sunday afternoon in Williamsburg, Va. The Dragons erased a 14-point deficit to earn the team's 17th win of the season and 10th win in conference play.
Drexel didn't take its first lead until there were 21 seconds left in the game. A pass from the backcourt to a streaking Bria Watkins gave Drexel a one-point lead. Watkins finished with eight points and three assists. Both stats are career-high's for the freshman.
Evans finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and four blocks in Sunday's contest. The junior made eight field goals.
Amaris Baker also scored 16 points on eight field goals. The graduate student also added five rebounds and three assists, along with two steals.
Laine McGurk 15 points with three longballs, six rebounds, two assists and three steals.

Drexel currently has a four-game winning streak.
