Women's Swimming and Diving Close Out CAA Championships in Fifth Place

HAMPTON, Va. – Drexel women's swimming and diving won gold and silver while adding another podium finish Saturday at the 2026 CAA Championships. The Dragons finished fifth overall with 918 points at the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex.
Brittany Corbett captured gold in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:39.96 and set a school record in the 1000 freestyle during the race with a split of 10:00.08. Harper Barrowman earned silver in the event, finishing second in 16:44.26 to give Drexel a 1-2 finish in the mile.
Megan Ehrnfeldt added a bronze medal in the 200 butterfly, tying for third place with a time of 2:01.35.
Drexel closed the meet with a fifth-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay as Mari Alencar, Delaney Leonard, Clare Schwartz, and Ehrnfeldt combined for a time of 3:21.85.
On the boards, Lada Volkov placed seventh in the championship final of the 1-meter diving competition.
Through four days, Drexel earned seven total medals, including three gold, and set multiple school and conference records.
