Men’s Rowing Claims Two Gold Medals at Kerr Cup

PHILADELPHIA — The Drexel men's rowing two captured two gold medals at the 58th annual Kerr Cup on the Schuylkill River. The Varsity 8+ took home the Cup for the first time since 2023, as the Dragons also took the top spot in the 2nd Varsity 8+ race. Overall, all four boats finished top two in their respective races.
The men's Varsity 4+ race was canceled due to high winds.
The V8+ team of Luke Joseph (Coxswain), Ben Werber (Stroke), Willem Kirsch, Matthew Kennedy, Milo Epstein, Kyle Brown, Jakob Mauntel, Jono Andersson and Justus Bormann (Bow), rowing in Krall IV, crossed the line first with a time of 6:20.31.
In the Varsity 2nd race, Isabella Kurach (Coxswain), Collin Gross (Stroke), Andrei Malis, Oscar Lourie, Logan Lyle, Braeden Montgomery, Cole Smiley, Danilo Djokic and Maxwell Burget (Bow) finished the course at 6:30.58.
