Women’s Rowing Looks to Claim Gold at CAA Championships

CHERRY HILL, N.J. — The Drexel women's rowing team returns to the Cooper River Saturday morning to battle for gold at the CAA Championships. Drexel will have four boats competing in the one-day event, with racing scheduled to get underway at 9:30 a.m.

The CAA Championships return to the Cooper River for the fourth consecutive season, featuring a seven-team field. Newcomer UAlbany joins the field against familiar conference opponents Monmouth, Northeastern, UC San Diego, UConn and Villanova in this year's championship regatta.

The Varsity 4+ captured gold at the CAA Championships last season, their first win at the Championships since 2022. The Dragons ousted the Northeastern crew, handing the Huskies their first loss in any CAA Championship race since 2022. Drexel finished second in the overall team standings, while Northeastern secured its 11th consecutive CAA Championship title.
