2009-10: Lead team with a 1:52.49 in the 200 IM…also posted team bests in both the 100 and 200 fly with a 57.27 and a 2:01.49, respectively…claimed second place at CAA Championships with a 2:01.23 in the 200 breast…also placed eighth in the 100 breast finals by posting a time of 57.36.
2008-09: Shattered 200 breast record in remarkable fashion in the finals of the CAA Championships as he posted a time of 1:58.80…Madkour holds the record by 5.81 seconds over the next fastest swimmer in school history…also broke school record with a 56.36 in the finals of the 100 breast at CAA Championships to take fifth…swam a 1:52.60 in the 200 IM consolation finals, the second-fastest time in school history and the fastest recorded by a Dragon swimmer over the past 18 years…Drexel’s top swimmer in the 100 and 200 breast and 200 and 400 IM.
Background: Took third place in the Common Cup games in the 200 breast…nabbed first-place honors in the Junior Arab games in 50, 100, 200 Fly and 100, 200 breaststroke…placed second in the Senior Arab games in 200 breast...also took second in the Eastern Canadian Championships in the 200 fly.
Personal: Son of Aly Hassam Madkour…majoring in materials engineering.
