2006: A co-captain of the Drexel swimming team...turned in her best times of the season at the CAA Championships with a mark of 18:46.96 in the 1650-yard freestyle and finishing the 500-yard freestyle in 5:31.84…posted her season-best 200-yard backstroke time of 2:30.10 at the CAA Pod meet in November.
2005: Cracked the top-five on the season’s best list in six events…swam to a team-best time in the 1650 freestyle (18:28.99)…earned the team’s second-fastest time in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:03.79)…swam the team’s third-fastest time in the 200 backstroke (2:21.30)…turned in a personal best 5:28.31 finish in the 500 freestyle and had the team’s best performance of the season in the 100-yard backstroke (1:06.59).
2004: Put up career-best performances in the 200- (2:17.17) and 400-yard (4:47.26) individual medley events... swam personal best times in 1000 (10:49.78) and 1650 (18:01.15) freestyle events and 200 backstroke (2:21.76)…ranks seventh on Drexel’s all-time list in the 1650 freestyle (18:01.15).
Background: A four-year member of the swim team at Eleanor Roosevelt High School…earned All-County honors...placed first in 1650 yard freestyle at Eastern Zone champs...zone and sectional qualifier in distance freestyle...record-holder at Annapolis Swim Club in 1000 free...member of National and French Honor Societies...2002 Chesapeake Bay Student-Athlete of the year...served as captain senior year.
Personal: Daughter of Vince and Kathy Dantone...majoring in civil engineering.
