Kristen Powers joined Drexel University Athletics in December 2019 as compliance coordinator.

Powers comes to University City from Moravian College, where she led the field hockey program for two seasons. In addition to her coaching responsibilities, she served as SAAC advisor. Powers filled similar roles at New England College from 2015 to 2017, heading the field hockey program while overseeing the SAAC and serving as an assistant sports information director.

She spent five years at Loyola University Maryland, first as compliance coordinator before being elevated to the position of assistant director of records, NCAA athletic eligibility.

Powers received her undergraduate degree in kinesiology from William & Mary in 2008, where she was a member of the field hockey team. She also earned a master’s in degree in kinesiology from James Madison in 2010. While at JMU, she worked as a compliance coordinator for the Dukes.
