Joe Karpinski joined the Drexel staff as an assistant prior to the 2023 season. He had been the volunteer assistant at Villanova for the previous five seasons. He works with Drexel's goalkeepers and the face-off unit.

Over his last five season at Villanova, Karpinski's face-off units were ranked among the top teams in the nation. Before he joined the Wildcats, he spent four seasons at Chestnut Hill as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. His main responsibilities were working with both the face-off unit and the goalkeepers. he also spent time at Ursinus in the same role.

Karpinski serves as the Director of Operations for NetNation Lacrosse, the top goalie school in the country and has been working with some of the top goalies in the country for over 25 years. He also spent six years working at Downingtown East where his team was regularly better than 70 percent on draws.

Karpinski, who is originally from Plattsburgh, N.Y., was a long stick midfielder at University of New Haven. He holds a degree in human resources from Ursinus College and an education degree from Immaculata University.
