2008-09: Drexel’s top distance swimmer as he posted team-best times in the 1000 and 1650 free…ranked second on the team in the 200 and 500 free events…his time of 15:46.76 in the 1650 free at the CAA Championships set a new school record and earned him fourth place…member of Drexel’s top free relay team.
2007-08: Took fourth at CAA Championships in the 1650 free with the second-fastest time in Drexel history (16:03.86)...established second-best time in Drexel history in 1000 free at CAA’s with a 9:38.42… swam in the 400 medley relay at CAA’s that broke a 16-year-old Drexel record with a time of 3:25.84…helped break 17-year-old 200 medley relay Drexel record with a time of 1:33.73 at CAA Championships.
2006-07: Led the team in the 50, 100, and 200 butterfly and the 200 individual medley events as a freshman…recorded victories in the 100 (1:01.70) and 200 breaststroke (2:13.87) the 200 medley relay against Delaware…a member of the 200 and 400 medley relay teams that finished third at the CAA Pod Meet…
Background: A national champion swimmer from Maramures, Romania…a seven-time junior national champion in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events.
