2007-08: Posted third-best time in Drexel history in the 100 back at the CAA Championships (52.30)…took 11th in the event…earned championship final berth at CAA's in 100 free after posting career-best time of 46.49 in the preliminaries...earned the Dragons 11 team points with his eighth-place finish in the event…clocked fastest Drexel time of the season in the 50 free (21.51)...member of the 400 medley relay team that established a new Drexel record with a time of 3:25.84.
2006-07: Placed third in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:49.53 against Delaware… earned four first-place finishes against Howard: 50 backstroke (25.92), 100 backstroke (56.30) and helped Drexel’s 200 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay teams place first…a member of the 200 medley relay team that finished third at the CAA Pod Meet.
2005-06: Was a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that earned a seventh-place finish at the CAA Championships…posted the fastest times on the team in three events: the 50- (21.49), and 100-yard freestyle (47.30) and the 100-yard butterfly (52.29)...swam a time of 1:44.68 in the 200-yard freestyle at Rutgers and finished fourth in the 200 backstroke against La Salle and St. Francis with a time of 2:00.43.
Background: A standout swimmer from Sisli Terakki School in Istanbul, Turkey…finished first at the high school swimming championships in the 50-, 100-, and 200-meter freestyle events…finished sixth in the 200-meter backstroke at the Balcan Games…member of the Turkish national team.
