2008-09: Swam mostly in distance events as a sophomore…recorded season-best time of 5:07.19 in preliminaries of the 500 free at the CAA Championships…posted top time of the season in the 1000 free in dual with rival Delaware when he was clocked at 10:50.85.
2007-08: Competed in five different events in his first season...posted team’s fourth-fastest time in the 100 breast (1:07.88) at the CAA Championships...clocked a season-best 4:45.88 in the 400 IM at the CAA Pod Meet...swam the 1000 fly against Delaware and Vermont and finished in 10:48.21.
Background: Four-year swimmer from Tappan Zee High School...also played soccer at Tappan Zee.
Personal: Son of Richard and Theresa Flore Lavery...majoring in civil engineering.
