Katie Koch joined the Drexel coaching staff in July of 2009 as an assistant coach under Head Coach Shawn Markey. Koch graduated Drexel as perhaps the most decorated women's swimmer in school history.
Katie is the school record-holder in four individual freestyle events. She was selected as the 2008 Mary Semanik Award recipient given to the senior female athlete who best exemplifies the scholarship and athletic ideals of Semanik, the former Director of Athletics at Drexel.
Before coaching at Drexel, Koch served as a coach at the University of Pennsylvania where she taught techniques as well as designed and developed personalized practices for members of the women’s swimming team.
Katie and her husband, Stephen, reside in Havertown, Pa. with their daughter, Emma.
