2010: Played in 43 games and made 42 starts…posted personal career highs for hits (30), runs (15), doubles (8), home runs (2), RBIs (17) and walks (9)…led the team with eight doubles on the season…ranked third on the team in hits and RBIs in conference games…became one of the team’s top clutch hitters with a walk-off grand slam against NCAA-qualifier Iona on March 25 and a game-winning RBI single in extra innings against George Mason on April 18.
2009: Took over as everyday second baseman, started in 44 games…set career highs for hits, RBIs and walks…hit her first career home run on March 25 at Bucknell, also went 2-for-3 in the game with 2 RBIs…went 2-for-4 with an RBI in 4-2 win at Towson on May 1. 2008: Started in 18 games at third base…got first career hit on Feb. 17 against Georgia Southern…went 2-for-3 with an RBI against St. Peter’s on April 2…doubled and scored a run in Drexel’s 7-0 win over George Mason on March 30.
Background: Played softball and field hockey at South Plainfield High…member of state champion field hockey team and also earned All-Area honors in the sport.
Personal: Daughter of Michael and Kathleen Downes…majoring in architectural engineering.
