PHILADELPHIA – Drexel Softball Head Coach Brooke Kalman announced the hiring of Tim Homan and Allison Bridgman as assistant coaches on Wednesday. Homan joins the coaching staff from Rowan, while Bridgman was a graduate assistant for the Alvernia softball team.
"I am excited to have both Tim and Allie join me as we build Drexel Softball to be a top program in the CAA and region." Kalman said. "Both of them grew up local to the Philadelphia area and know how special it is to be a coach for one of the four Division I softball teams in Philadelphia."
Homan recently finished a year of coaching with Rowan University, where he helped the Profs finish the 2025 season with the fifth highest record in Division III with a 49-4 tab. The team won the 2025 NJAC Conference Tournament and also won the regional championship.
"Tim brings an extensive Division 1 background to our coaching staff," Kalman said. "He is well equipped with the knowledge and experience to help lead our team's offense. Tim is also a proven recruiter and will help bring in some of the best talent from across the country."
Prior to Homan's stint with Rowan, he coached for three seasons for Boston College, helping the Eagles to a 30-22 record, the program's best record in eight years. While coaching at BC, Homan coached two All-ACC Players, two All-Region Players and also clinched the program's first postseason win in the ACC's single elimination bracket.
In 2019, Homan began his time with Dartmouth as the first assistant coach. In his four-year span with the program, he helped coach the 2022 Ivy League Player of the Year and place seven players on All-Ivy League Teams.
Homan first started coaching in 2016 at Villanova and made stops at Penn and Georgia Southern before joining Dartmouth.
In 2013, Homan received a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Homan earned his master's degree in sports management and athletic administration from Southern New Hampshire University in 2017.
Bridgman joins the Drexel coaching staff after completing her MBA from Alvernia University. While completing her degree, Bridgman was a graduate assistant for the softball team, assisting the coaching staff with administrative tasks, recruiting and fundraising.
Bridgman competed for four seasons for Fairfield. While with the Stags, she was named the vice president and president of SAAC, along with being named Fairfield's NCAA Woman of the Year and winning the William Wallin Memorial Award, given to the student-athlete with the highest levels of sportsmanship, character and leadership.
Allison Bridgman is the sister of Holly Bridgman, an alumna of Drexel. Holly Bridgman currently holds the program record for fielding percentage with a .991 and played in a total of 78 games in her career.
Allison Bridgman graduated with her bachelor's degree in management from Fairfield. She graduated summa cum laude with a 3.97 GPA.
"Allie brings the unique experience of being both a Division I catcher and Division I pitcher," Kalman said, "It is rare for a Division I player to be both parts of the ever-important battery of our game. Allie will spend most of her time in the bullpen working with our pitchers and catchers."
