Dragon of the Week: Crawford and Kols

PHILADELPHIA – Courtney Kols and Witt Crawford named the Drexel Dragons of the Week, presented by Rothman Orthopaedics, for the week of April 29th–May 4th.

Courtney Kols, a member of the softball team, turned in a strong weekend in the circle at Stony Brook. The freshman tossed a complete-game win in the series opener and followed with a standout effort in the finale, carrying a perfect game through six innings. The Fountain Valley, Calif. native pitched 19.2 innings across three appearances, allowing seven earned runs while recording four strikeouts.

Witt Crawford, a member of the men's lacrosse team, recorded a four-point performance in Drexel's CAA Semifinal matchup against Stony Brook. The junior scored three goals and added an assist, tying him for third in program history with 11 career CAA Tournament goals. The Alexandria, Va. native led the Dragons offensively as Drexel closed the season with a 9-6 overall record.
