2017-18: Finished with a 4-4 record as a redshirt freshman at 165 pounds…had one win by fall and two technical fall victories.
2016-17: Went 4-10 on the year as a redshirt…recorded two pins, a major decision and a technical fall on the year…earned a seventh-place finish at the Messiah Open.
Background: A two-time district champion while wrestling for West Deptford High School…in 2015 he was a runner up at regions and then finished third in 2016…a two-time conference champion…was named most outstanding wrestler for 2016.
Personal: Son of Jimmer and Tricia Shields…has an older brother, James, and a younger brother, Gavin…majoring in environmental engineering.
