Kyle Schumann was announced as an assistant coach for the Drexel women's soccer program in February of 2026.

Schumann returns to Philadelphia after spending the 2025 season at Division II Missouri Western State as an assistant coach. He helped lead the team to a 12-2-7 record and their first MIAA title in program history.

Prior to his time with the Griffons, Schumann spent six seasons at Jefferson, including three as the head women's soccer coach. During his tenure as interim and head coach, he posted a 37-9-6 record, leading the Rams to a CACC Tournament Championship and two CACC regular-season titles. He was named CACC Coach of the Year in 2024 after guiding the team to its first Sweet 16 appearance in program history.

Schumann also made stints with Southwestern Oklahoma State in 2018, where he led the team to a 13-5-1 record, with the only defeats coming to NCAA Tournament teams. He also served as an assistant to the men's soccer program at Malone in 2017.

As a collegiate goalie, Schumann spent four seasons with Southern Nazarene, where he contributed to the program's four consecutive NAIA Tournament appearances, including a run to the national semifinals in 2005. He was also named a NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete, earning his bachelor's degree in finance in 2009, later receiving his MBA from Southwestern Oklahoma State. After graduation, Schumann went on to play one season in the National Soccer League in 2013 for the Tulsa Athletic.
