HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Three first-half goals from Hofstra was too much to overcome as the Drexel men's soccer team fell Thursday night, 3-2. The Dragons fell just short of a comeback, scoring two goals down a man in the 77th and 81st minutes. Drexel finishes the campaign 7-8-2.

DU fell behind early in the 11th minute. The Pride played the ball into the box, where Anthony Grodzki got a touch after a misplay by the Dragons. Grodzki then dished it to Joel Bona, who fired a shot from 20 yards out to find the back of the net.

The Pride added another just seven minutes later in the 18th minute of play. Pietro Santi scored off the corner kick to double the lead.
