Devoy earned two victories at the NCAA Tournament in St. Louis, Mo. late last week, finishing the season with a 38-7 record. In his second NCAA appearance in as many college seasons, the sophomore from Burlington, N.J. won twice on the first day, beating Geoffrey Alexander of Maryland, 9-4, and Caleb Richardson of Penn, 3-1 in a sudden victory. On Friday in the quarterfinals, Devoy took on the No. 1 seed at 133 pounds, Chris Dardanes of Minnesota, keeping it close at the start of the match before dropping a decision. Later in the day, with All-American status on the line, Devoy and Rossi Bruno of Michigan went to overtime tied at 5-5, but Bruno secured a takedown for the sudden victory. The EIWA champion finished the season with 38 wins, tied for the most in Drexel single-season history with Steve Mytych (2007-08).
