PHILADELPHIA — The No. 29 Drexel wrestling team is set to face a pair of EIWA opponents this weekend at the DAC. The Dragons will battle Franklin & Marshall on Saturday at 6 p.m., with Hofstra making the trip to Philadelphia on Sunday at 6 p.m.
Drexel is 10-3 on the season, with all three losses coming to ranked opponents. DU looks to improve to a 4-0 record in the EIWA, with prior victories over Morgan State and Binghamton.
Last Time Out
The Dragons secured a 24-12 win over Binghamton in Vestal, N.Y. for their tenth win in the 2025-26 campaign. Six Dragons saw their hand raised, as DU collected bonus points in four of the ten matches.
Kyle Waterman opened the scoring with a major decision, earning his eighth win of the season. Jordan Soriano followed with a major of his own to improve to 11-2 in dual competition, while Deon Pleasant made it three straight with his third dual win.
Cody Walsh added a hard-fought decision before Ethan Wilson and Nate Schon closed out the scoring with a pair of technical falls.
National Recognition
Drexel cracked the national rankings as a team for the first time this season, coming in at No. 29 in Tuesday's InterMat poll. The Dragons have already tested themselves against three Big Ten opponents and four nationally ranked teams overall, highlighted by a win over No. 25 Purdue in the DAC.
Additionally, six Dragons were named to the first NCAA DI Coaches' Rankings of the season. Desmond Pleasant, Kyle Waterman, Jordan Soriano, Luke Nichter, Jasiah Queen and Nate Schon all earned a spot in their respective weight classes.

Hofstra
Drexel owns a 22-19 edge in the all-time series against the Pride. The Dragons shut out Hofstra, 36-0, last season to secure the EIWA Independence Division Championship and have won eight straight meetings against the team from Long Island, with their last loss coming in the 2013-14 season.
On the Mic
Drexel will feature a new voice on the mic for the 2025–26 wrestling season, as Nick Kosko takes over play-by-play duties on FloWrestling. A former Broadcaster of the Year honoree by the National Wrestling Media Association, Kosko brings extensive experience to the Dragons' coverage, having previously called matches for Rutgers, Penn, Princeton and others.
Looking Ahead
The Dragons will return to the DAC to battle Bucknell on Saturday, February 7. The match up will be the third of five consecutive duals on home turf. Action is set for 6 p.m. and can be streamed via FloWrestling.
