Scanlon led Drexel with 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Falson scored all 10 of her points in the second half, grabbed six rebounds and handed out five assists without a turnover. Williams came up big in the post, scoring 11 points and grabbing a team-best nine rebound, five of them on the offensive glass. She also helped to contain the Tribes' double-double machine Kyra Kaylor, holding her one board short of the twin two-digit tally.
The Dragons used a 40-point second half in which the team shot a lights-out 52.2 percent from the field to pull away from the Tribe after leading 24-23 at the half. Drexel held William & Mary scoreless for the last 7:42 of the first period and the first 6:32 of the second. The 14-plus minute drought cost the Tribe as Drexel went on a 15-4 run to open the second stanza, pulling away to a 39-29 lead before the green hit their first shot of the second half.
Drexel turned in one of its best performances of the year on the boards, boxing out against a formidable Tribe frontline including Kaylor, the CAA's leading rebounder. The Dragons out-boarded the Tribe 41-30 and 30-17 on the defensive glass. Williams came up big for Drexel on the offensive boards, snaring a season-high five and converting them into five points in the second half.
After shooting just 1-for-5 in the first half, Narissa Suber found her touch in the second period, knocking down four of her first five shots and scoring 13 of her 16 points in the period. Her second trey of the period was the 80th of the season for Suber, setting a Drexel single-season record. She hit her third three-pointer of the half at the 2:55 mark to give Drexel a 60-42 lead and essentially seal the win for the Dragons.
Defensively, Drexel did its best to contain Kaylor in the post. The Dragons denied the forward the ball and double-teamed her when she tried to drive the lane, forcing her to commit two first-half turnovers. Nicole Hester played solid defense, tying her season high with three blocks to go with her 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Drexel held the Tribe to just 17.6 shooting from the floor in the second half, making only six of 34 shots.
William & Mary shot 27 percent from the floor and 29 percent from deep.
The Dragons finish the season above .500 for the second year in a row and head into the CAA Tournament as the No. 7 seed.
