Women's Tennis Closes Out Thrilling 4-3 Victory Over Monmouth

Philadelphia, Pa. - With a crowd of her peers, teammates, coaches and opponents watching -sophomore Lara Hamad finished off Monmouth's Chrissy Cella at sixth singles to give Drexel a 4-3 win over the Hawks in exciting fashion. The Dragons swept their doubles matches and split the six singles match-ups for their second dual match win of the season.
Jaimee Wylie and Melissa Bohm topped their opponents Kristen Hoffmann, Diane Washer to give the Dragons two of their four points in the overall match. Drexel turned in a sensational performance in doubles play to take the overall point by sweeping the Hawks. Emily and Melissa Lewis won 8-5 at first doubles. Hana Stecova and Melissa Bohm bested Katherine Tierney and Diane Washer, 8-4 and the pairing of Ashley Doriss and Jaimee Wylie dispatched Kristen Hoffmann and Kelly Friedrich 8-2.
