Dragons Drop Pair of Dual Meets at Delaware

The Drexel men's and women's swimming and diving team completed a meet at the University of Delaware where the women lost to the Blue Hens, 196-103, and Vermont, 191-106 while the men's team dropped a 163-137 decision to the host school.
Katie McCann (Media, Pa./Penncrest) won the 500 freestyle and took second in the 100 and 200 freestyle. Kaitlin Slowey (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) placed second in the 200 individual medley. Drexel record holder in the 100 back, Maria Coman (Bucharest, Romania/Colegiul National Gheorghe Lazar), placed second in the event at the meet. Kate Hynes (Brookville, Pa./Brookville Area) swept the diving events for the second straight meet while Stephanie Battaglia (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Germantown Academy) took second to Hynes in the three-meter dive.
The Dragons return to action on Thursday, Nov. 15 with a trip to the Maryland Invitational.
