Crew Picks Up a Pair of Wins at Braxton Memorial Regatta

The Drexel men's and women's rowing teams capped their fall season in fine style on the Schuylikill as the Dragons took the men's freshmen/novice race while the women's varsity eight won its second straight race after triumphing the day before at the Frostbite Regatta. Men's varsity eight captured a second-place finish besting Penn State and Stony Brook.
The women's freshmen/novice eight finished second among four boats entered in the race posting a time of 5:55.09. The men's freshman/novice eight bested five other boats including entrants from Temple, Ithaca and Philadelphia University after clocking a 4:38.46. The time was more than six seconds faster than the second-place Owls. The women's varsity eight also won by more than six seconds over a second-place Temple boat aftr posting a 5:20.00.
The Dragons will begin their spring season on March 8 with a race with Delaware, La Salle, Saint Joseph's and Lehigh on the Schuylkill.
