Philadelphia – Drexel's Jenna Lindsay scored the game-winning goal on a rebound with less than four minutes to play in the second overtime as Drexel (6-9-1, 1-6-1 CAA) defeated Towson, 3-2, at Vidas Field on Sunday. It was the 10th goal of the season for the freshman, which set a new school mark for goals in a season.

Junior Carly Snyder fired a shot from just inside the box that was deflected off the crossbar by Towson (3-12-1, 0-7-1 CAA) keeper Kendie Bauer. Lindsay got the rebound on the left side of the net and put it home to give the Dragons their first Colonial Athletic Association win of the year.

Snyder, who set a school record with three assists in the game, set up the game-tying goal as well. With just under nine minutes to play in regulation and the Dragons down 2-1, Snyder took a corner kick and set up Lindsay's first goal of the game. Both teams had chances to end it in regulation, but neither team could score. Snyder had the best chance in the final seconds when her shot hit the cross bar and bounced away.

Towson got on the board first in the 25th minute of the contest. Erica Marshall converted on a Drexel turnover, dribbled just inside the box and fired a shot into the far left corner. Drexel evened it at one each when Daria Bialik converted on a nice corner kick by Snyder in the 28th minute. That lead was short lived as the Tigers' Kaysi Ward scored just 25 seconds later. Brittany Hadaway fed Ward, who scored her first career goal on a shot past Kaitlin Bond into the lower left corner.

The Dragons outshot Towson, 27-15, including a 9-2 advantage in the overtime periods. Bauer made 11 saves in a losing effort for the Tigers. Bond made two stops for Drexel.

The Dragons are off until Friday, when they travel to return to action on Sunday afternoon at Vidas Field. The Towson Tigers will be in town for a 1 p.m. conference match.
