Dragons Complete Fall Season at Frostbite and Braxton Regattas

Philadelphia - Men's Crew finished its fall season with a pair of regattas on the Schuylkill River. The men's varsity eight took third of six in Saturday's Frostbite Regatta before a fourth-place finish in Sunday's Bill Braxton Regatta. The Dragons' junior varsity eight placed third on Saturday and second on Sunday. The novice eight boat finished third in the Frostbite Regatta then took second place behind Temple at the Braxton Regatta.
With a time of 6:14.35, the Drexel varsity eight boat captured third place behind Delaware and Temple in the Frostbite Regatta. The boat's time was better than Penn's lightweight eight, Colgate and Saint Joseph's, who were also in the race. In the Braxton Regatta, Drexel finished with a time of 4:37.44 to take fourth place. Temple, Ithaca and Loyola beat Drexel while Colgate and Penn State took fifth and sixth place, respectively.
Drexel's junior varsity eight clocked a 6:12.49 in the Frostbite Regatta to take third place in a five-boat race while a time of 4:51.82 won a four-boat race on Sunday over Ithaca, Penn State and Loyola. The Dragons' novice eight crossed the line at 6:38.11 behind Delaware and Saint Joseph's but ahead of Temple, Colgate and Penn's freshman lightweight boat. Drexel's time of 5:02.84 trailed only Temple as the Dragons' novice eight boat took second place in the Braxton Regatta.
