Drexel Blanks Lehigh, 7-0, For Fourth Straight Win

Bethlehem, Pa. - Drexel did not drop a match in its 7-0 blanking of Lehigh at the Lewis Tennis Center for the team's fourth straight victory. Junior Joe Koebele extended his winning streak to four straight victories at singles and doubles.
In doubles play, Omar Laalej and Jason Savage-Pollock won in the first pairing. Koebele and Carlo Pangilinan won at second doubles and Nick Bacchus and Sabayaschi Bose close out the team point with an 8-6 win at third doubles.
On the singles side, Laalej shut down John Nespoli in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1. Koebele won in three sets with a third set tiebreaker after coming back from a loss in the first set. The senior gathered himself for a gutty 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (6) victory. Carlo Pangilinan won at third singles 7-5, 6-1. Bacchus made quick work of Arnoldo Pacheco 6-0, 6-1 at fourth singles. Freshman Jason Savage-Pollock picked up his first collegiate win in singles play, 7-5, 6-1 over Chris Collins. Sabayaschi Bose closed out the match with a convincing 6-2, 6-4 win at sixth singles.
Drexel is back in action on March third when the team takes on Temple at Cheltenham.
