
Dragons Blast Coppin State, 5-1

Philadelphia - Drexel women's tennis got back on track with a 5-1 trouncing of Coppin State on Thursday. The Dragons swept doubles play and won four out of five singles matches in the rout. Gabriela Marginean remained undefeated at first singles, dropping just one game in a straight-set victory. Emily and Mellissa Lewis improved to 6-1 in doubles play with an 8-4 win to clinch the doubles point for their team.
Marginean and her partner Jaimee Wyliee dominated an 8-2 match over Nina Sebescen and Mary Ann Daya Isanngie at second doulbes. Mellissa Lewis, Wylie and Hana Stecova all won their on the singles side. Coppin State's lone victory came at second singles where Nina Sebescen topped Emily Lewis 6-0, 6-1.
The Dragons are back in action on Saturday at CAA foe Hofstra at 12:00 before returning to Vidas Athletic Complext for Senior Day on Sunday, April 13 against Delaware State.
