Men's Crew Sweeps Tri-Meet, Women Take Second

Philadelphia - Drexel men's crew won the varsity four and freshman four races on the Schuylkill River while the women took second in the varsity eight, second varsity eight and freshman eight races in a meet that featured city-rivals Villanova and Philadelphia University. The Drexel B boat won the varsity four race with a time of 6:41.17 while the Drexel A boat took second with a time of 6:48.61. The Drexel A boat won the freshman four race with a time of 6:38.21.

On the women's side, Drexel was just over two seconds behind the first-place boat from Villanova. Drexel's time of 6:39.49 was 10 seconds better than third-place Philadelphia University. In the second varsity eight race, Philadelphia won with a time of 7:00.77 with the Dragons finishing in 7:03.27. The freshman eight race saw Drexel also take second with a time of 7:24.54 behind Philadelphia University's entry.
