Dragons to Host Philly Rival Villanova

Philadelphia - Drexel field hockey will host Villanova on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 1:00 p.m. in a non-conference game played at Buckley Field. The 12th-ranked Dragons enter the contest with a 12-2 mark while the Wildcats are 8-5 in 2009.
Christina Mastropaolo broke the Drexel single-season mark for goals in the Dragons' last game, a 4-1 victory over Penn. She now has her sights set on teammate Susan Ciufo's single-season points mark as Mastropaolo is just one point from tying Ciufo record of 47 set last season. Ciufo has also been compiling a big offensive season as she currently has 40 points on 16 goals and a team-high 40 points.
Villanova enters the game after dismantling Georgetown, 5-0, in its last game. Meredith Sabatini leads the team with 12 goals and 28 points while Lauren Wuzzardo has a team-high 10 assists.
