Drexel Field Hockey to Host Northeastern on Senior Day

Philadelphia - The 11th-ranked Drexel field hockey team will welcome Northeastern to Buckley Field in a Colonial Athletic Association game on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 2:00 p.m. The Dragons are 14-2 overall and 4-1 in the CAA while the Huskies will enter the game at 9-7 overall and 3-2 in the conference. Prior to the game, Drexel seniors Carolina Gibernau, Jordan Freese, Jennifer Bolger and Sarah Heller will be honored as part of Senior Day festivities.
Drexel has won the last two meetings in the series against Northeastern and will look to continue the streak. Christina Mastropaolo leads the nation with eight game-winning goals and is also ranked second in the nation in goals per game. Her 22 scores this season set a new school record. Joining her up front is 2008 Third Team All-American Susan Ciufo. The fellow junior has 17 goals and eight assists this season.
