
Dragons Wrap Fall Season at Old Dominion Seascape Invitational

Outer Banks, N.C. - Drexel golf finished its fall 2009 season at the Old Dominion Seascape Invitational where the Dragons took 13th of 14 teams. Kyle Davis led the team once again with a two-round total of 151 on the par 70 course. Ben Feld and Steve Kidron each posted career bests with 69's during the second round. The Dragons finished ahead of Saint Joseph's while Old Dominion won the event by four strokes.
Drexel suffered through a tough first round as Trevor Sahn was disqualified for signing for the wrong score as the Dragons had to take its other four scores. Davis' 77 was a team best while Andy Frank shot an 81 with Feld and Kidron contributing an 83 and 86, respectively. The team's total of 327 left the Dragons in last place but Drexel surged in the second round to shave 38 strokes of its first-round score.
Feld and Kidron's 69 were tied for sixth in second-round scoring as the pair cut a combined 31 strokes off of their first-round scores. Davis improved to a 74 on the second day while Frank carded a 77. The team's second-round total of 289 was bested only by six of the 14 teams in the tough field.
