Philadelphia - Drexel women's swimming & diving rolled to victory over visiting George Washington at Drexel Pool. The win improved the Dragons' record to 3-2 on the season. Drexel took first place in every event with the exception of 100 breast and 100 fly.
Drexel opened with victory in the 200 medley relay then picked up a win when Jessica Csakai took the 1000 free in 10:55.47. Christine Mankus won the 200 free with a sub-two minute time of 1:59.89. Maria Coman took the next event, the 100 back, in 1:00.85. After the Colonials initial first place of the meet in the 100 breast, freshman Lauren Faykes took the 200 fly in 2:12.40. Devina Tyagi won the 50 free in 25.60 in the next event. Mankus then registered her second win of the day as she reeled in the 100 free event in 56.00. Faykes also added to her win total with a time of 2:12.11 in the 200 back. Malin Wiberg added her name to the list of first-place finishers after posting a time of 2:30.69 in the 200 breast. Csakai completed the sweep of distance events with her win in the 500 free. George Washington won the next event, the 100 fly, before a 200 IM victory by Wiberg in 2:16.01. Drexel completed the meet with a first-place and second-place finish in the 400 free.
