Men's Tennis Falls To Temple In Tight 5-2 Match

Philadelphia - Drexel men's tennis suffered its first loss of the spring, falling to city rival Temple 5-2 at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center. Carlo Pangilinan won a three-set match over Ricardo Velazquez at second singles and the Dragons took two of three doubles matches for their second team point. Drexel drops to 4-3 on the season in dual match play.
Pangilinan gave the Dragons their only singles win of the day when he bounced back after dropping the second set against Velazquez 6-4 to put away the third set 6-3 and win the match. He teamed with Joe Koebele to top Velazquez and Stephanides 8-2 at first doubles as well. Bryan Nguyen and Mehdi Rhazali also won at third doubles over Nathan Spunda and Dimtry Vizhunov 8-6.
The Dragons are back in action on Sunday, Feb. 22 when they take on Lehigh in a dual match at 10:00 a.m.
