The Dragons trailed 8-6 early, but the Pride's (9-12, 2-7) lead was short lived. Jamie Harris made a three-pointer and on the next possession converted a three-point play as Drexel went ahead for good. Fouch scored 19 of his 29 points in the first half and was 4-for-6 from long range in the half. Drexel shot 52 percent in the half and made five three-pointers. The Drexel lead swelled to as many as 30 points midway through the second half when the Dragons went on an 11-0 run to put the game away. Fouch had seven during that stretch and capped the run with a dunk set up by a Derrick Thomas steal. Hofstra scored the final seven points to make the final margin just 13 points.

Drexel's defense held Charles Jenkins, the CAA Preseason Co-Player of the Year, to just 13 points, four of which came in the final minutes.
Drexel begins a difficult two-game road trip on Wednesday night at Northeastern. The Dragons also play at William & Mary before returning home on Feb. 2 against Towson.
