Field Hockey to Face Final Non-Conference Test of Regular Season at Lafayette

Easton, Pa. - Drexel Field Hockey will conclude its regular season non-conference schedule with a visit to Lafayette for a 7:00 p.m. game on Tuesday, Oct. 19. The 16th-ranked Dragons are riding an eight-game winning streak and sit alone atop the Colonial Athletic Association standings with an 11-3 overall mark and 5-0 conference record. Lafayette is currently 6-7 while coming off of an 8-0 victory at Holy Cross.
Over its eight-game winning streak, Drexel has been one of the nation's hottest teams as the Dragons have outscored opponents by a 29-9 margin. Senior Christina Mastropaolo is single-handedly outscoring opponents as she has 10 goals in the last eight games. Kim Tunell and Amanda Fleischut have each contributed five assists during the winning streak while Susan Ciufo and Ashley Santee have each tallied five goals during the run.
Lafayette has defeated both common opponents the Leopards and Dragons have had this season with wins over Temple and Penn in 2010. Deanna DiCroce is among the nation's leaders with 11 assists and has a team-high 25 points while Meghan Cicchi has scored a team-high nine goals this season.
