Lawson Team's Top Performer at Fall-Season Ending ODU Invitational

Powells Point, N.C. – Drexel finished up its fall season at the ODU/OBX Invitational at Kilmarlic Golf Club over the past three days. The Dragons tallied a three-round final of 908 to finish 18th, one stroke back from Philadelphia rival Saint Joseph's.

East Carolina University grabbed the lead on the first day and held onto the first place spot through each round, beating second place Richmond by 23 strokes. The host, Old Dominion, shot a 29 over-par, 893 total, landing them in 14th for the tournament.

Andrew Lawson led the Dragons in the first and third rounds with a three-under and one-over par respectively. Lawson also topped Drexel overall shooting a 219 tying him for 30th. James Braunsberg carded a 79 in the third round after a one-under and two-over par first and second rounds of play. Braunsberg's 224 total was good enough for second among the Dragons and a tie for 56th in the field. Ben Feld also shot a 79 in the third-round tying him for 66th over-all. In the final day, Ben Hinge and Mike Serensits carded an 80 and 84 respectively for 241 and 248 three-day totals.
