Drexel Men’s Golf Opens 2011 Spring Season on Monday

Philadelphia – The Drexel men's golf team returns to action at the Lonnie Barton Invitational on Monday, March 7 through March 8. The Dragons will travel to Savannah Quarters Country Club in Savannah, Ga. to open their 2011 spring season.
Drexel's last appearance at the Lonnie Barton Invitation was back in 2008, where the Dragons finished seventh of 10 teams. Drexel's Andrew Lawson fired two-round scores of 165. Lawson shot an 82 in the opening round and followed with an 83.
Benjamin Feld leads the Dragons with a 76.0 stroke average, followed by teammate Andrew Lawson. In the fall, Feld captured first place at the Philadelphia University Golf Classic. Sophomore Billy Reube will make his first collegiate debut for Drexel at the invitational on Monday.
