Dragons Face Hartford on Friday at Temple Owl Eyes Classic

Philadelphia - Drexel women's soccer will look for its second straight win to open the season when the Dragons travel to Ambler, Pa. to participate in Temple's Owl Eyes Classic. Drexel's first opponent in the weekend tournament is Hartford (0-1), whom the team will face at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons will close out tournament play on Sunday, Aug. 29 against Niagara at 11:00 a.m.
Drexel won its season opener 1-0 courtesy of an Ashley Klun strike with 6:13 left in the contest. The Dragons' goalkeeping tandem of Nicole Sinclair and Victoria Troccoli made the tally hold up in a shutout victory.
The Hawks were shutout 2-0 in their season opener against Long Island last week. LIU used two first-half goals to put away Hartford while outshooting the Hawks 10-3.
Drexel will be looking for it first win ever against Hartford on Friday, as the Hawks have prevailed in the teams' five previous meetings.
