Philadelphia, Pa. – Drexel looks to defend its title as last year's champions of the St. Bonaventure Kennan Invitational in Olean, N.Y. The Dragons will take on host St. Bonaventure, St. Francis (Pa.), Humber, Cornell, Long Island, Ottawa, Fairmont, Siena, Rider and Niagara.
Last year the Dragons bested 12 other schools including second-place host St. Bonaventure with a 583 two-round total. Drexel used three top-ten finishes from Trevor Sahn, James Braunsberg and Kyle Davis to convert their round-one third place standing into a first place tournament finish. All five of Drexel's golfers shot a 73 or better in the second round of play defeating their first round total, 294, by five strokes.
Drexel enters the two-round event after opening its fall season with a 13th place finish at the Navy Fall Classic in Annapolis, Md. Junior Andrew Lawson and sophomore Ben Feld led the Dragons with team bests of 153 in the two-round event. James Braunsberg shot a 75 in the opening round followed closely by Ben Hinge with a 76. Delaware took the event after carding a 569 team score.
