Drexel returns to the DAC on Monday to face Hofstra

Philadelphia - The men's basketball team returns to conference play on Monday night when Hofstra comes to Philadelphia. The Dragons and the Pride tip-off at 7 p.m. in the Daskalakis Athletic Center.
Drexel has won seven of its last eight games after soundly defeating Niagara on Dec. 28. The Dragons have been off since then. Drexel is now 9-2 after losing just one game during the entire month of December. Their only loss came to No. 5 Syracuse on the road. Hofstra lost its last outing at Iona on Dec. 29. The loss dropped the Pride's record to 7-5. Both Drexel and Hofstra are 1-0 in CAA play.
Monday's game features the top two scorers in the Colonial Athletic Association. Charles Jenkins, the CAA's Preseason Player of the Year, averages more than 23 points a game for the Pride. Jenkins is shooting 60 percent from the floor and 50 percent from long range. Drexel's Chris Fouch is second in the CAA in scoring at 19.1 points per game. He is one of three Dragons averaging in double figures. Samme Givens and Gerald Colds are the others. Givens is leading the CAA with 10.7 rebounds per contest.
The entire CAA begins a difficult stretch on Monday. Each team will play three games in five days. After Monday's game with Hofstra, Drexel will play at VCU on Wednesday before returning home to take on Delaware on Saturday afternoon.
